Cisco Network Engineer with Security Clearance

This role supports our Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD. Job Description and Responsibilities: Attend requirements gathering meetings and document customer requirements. Design and implement on premise network solutions. Install, configure, and support network equipment, including firewalls and switches. Create detailed technical documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, diagrams, data flows) Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability. Provide pass down and turnover to operations teams for newly implemented solutions Basic Requirements: Solid background in network administration and architecture, as well as network operating systems. Experience with Cisco network products. In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF). Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools. Familiarity with access control models and network security. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Organizational and communication skills. CCNA or related certification. Education Requirements: Bachelors degree and 3 or more years relevant experience Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Telework and Travel: On site 2x per week minimum
