Senior Geotechnical Engineer (PV Solar/Wind)

Role summary The Sr Geotechnical Engineer is a dynamic Geological/Geotechnical Engineer (geotechnical specialist) that spends his/her time planning, undertaking, and overseeing geotechnical projects both in office and in the field to ensure successful delivery. The role involves sound understanding of geotechnical problems and state of the arts thereof. The role also involves delivering technical leadership, coordination with other team members which may be based in other offices or locations around the Globe. Responsibilities Among others, his/her responsibilities will be as follow: - Conduct geotechnical analyses and design, including foundation design, slope stability assessment, settlement analysis, and earth retention systems; - Write geotechnical reports and ensure quality and accuracy of documentation; - Actively assist on the preparation of cost estimates and commercial issues; - Provide high-level ground risks and stability technical advise to clients; - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other non-geotechnical engineers; - Colloborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop cost-effective and sustainable solutions; - Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical engineering; - Clients and supplier’s liaison; - Follow company’s internal procedures; - Actively participate in meetings providing technical information to management and to other departments; - Actively participate in the development and implementation of the quality management system across the company; - Be proactive and professional, while fostering company’s reputation both internally and in front of clients and vendors. - Write technical posts and papers in specialized journals and social media alike. Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred); - 7 years of working experience in geotechnical engineering with a focus on design analysis; - Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and construction methods; - Experience with geotechnical engineering software such as GEO5, PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar; - Excellent project management and communication skills; - Proficiency in Spanish and English is a must to effectively communicate with diverse project teams and clients What We Offer - Competitive salary and benefits package; - Opportunity to work on challenging and impactful renewable projects; - Career growth and professional development opportunities; - A supportive and inclusive team environment.
