Senior Automation Product Line Engineer

Overview Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated SENIOR AUTOMATION PRODUCT LINE ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa, Italy. We are looking for a technician with experience (at least 10 years post-graduation) in designing Automation software systems, for all phases of the life cycle, and in managing and coordinating teams. Accountabilities Analysis and definition of software systems architectures Selection of the most appropriate technologies for the context Planning of activities Design and implementation of software components Managing the testing and deployment of software components Required Skills / Knowledge Knowledge of software design methodologies (agile methodologies, DevOps, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Object Oriented Analysis) In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Docker swarm) Knowledge of technologies for building cloud-native systems Knowledge of Javascript, NodeJS, HTML / XML, HTML5, JSON, Java languages Knowledge of graphical Javascript tools (Angular-9, AngularJs, Bootstrap) Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and no-sql (MongoDB, Redis) Knowledge of Version Control systems (git, svn) Thorough knowledge of Linux operating system (RedHat, Ubuntu) Ability to estimate and plan software development activities Desired Skills / Knowledge Experience in the implementation of applications in rail and metro automation Education / Qualifications Master\'s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent degree Languages Proficiency in English Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
