Job Title: Finance Manager Location: Remote (ad hoc travel to Hertfordshire) Salary: £60,000 per annum Ref: RB015 Job Type: Permanent Start: ASAP About Us: We are a growing £5m turnover multi-site retail business operating across 9 UK locations. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to lead our finance function, provide strategic support to the CEO, and drive financial efficiency across the group. Role Overview: This is a hands-on finance role suited to someone who thrives in an SME environment. You’ll be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management while supporting operational decision-making. You’ll also manage an unqualified bookkeeper and maintain robust financial processes using Xero. Key Responsibilities: Financial Leadership: Own the day-to-day finance function, producing monthly management accounts, budgets, and cash flow forecasts with insightful commentary for the CEO. Team Management: Oversee and mentor an unqualified bookkeeper, ensuring accurate transactional processing and reconciliations. Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely VAT, PAYE, and statutory compliance, and liaise with external accountants and auditors as required. Systems & Controls: Maintain the Xero accounting system and implement strong financial controls and efficient processes. Business Partnering: Work closely with the CEO and site managers to support commercial decisions, improve financial visibility, and drive profitability across all 9 sites.
