Search Executive Reporting to - Search Manager Clients - RMIT, ENGIE, Hino, Junior Adventure Group, Melbourne Royal Show, new business 3 BEST THINGS ABOUT THE ROLE Getting to work in a fun, dynamic and fast-paced agency environment This is a technical role, working with large search data sets to identify key trends and optimisation possibilities to enhance our client’s performance Being part of The Media Store – 2025 AFR Best Places to Work winner for Belonging – where you will be genuinely valued and developed IMPORTANCE OF THE ROLE: The Search Executive supports our Performance Team across a range of tasks and channels – research, finance, competitive analysis, campaign reporting, implementation, and management of performance activity for paid search and Performance Max campaigns. Close monitoring of campaign delivery, performance and optimisation are also crucial tasks The ideal Search Executive should have a keen eye for detail, a passion for continuously learning and a fresh way of thinking. We are looking for someone that is hungry to excel in this role and gain industry recognition by implementing account best practices, being at the forefront of beta testing and showcasing great work through case study submissions to help TMS, and yourself, gain industry recognition for our great work KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for day-to-day campaign management of client paid search accounts, including implementation, pacing and optimisation across different search engines and platforms, leveraging support of Digital Assistants/interns where applicable Works with the Search Manager to proactively identify strategic search opportunities for clients that will improve their objectives in media. Supports the Search Manager in pulling data and analysing campaign performance for monthly and quarterly SEM reports Reviewing keyword lists and ad copy frequently to ensure we are bidding on relevant terms and our ad copy is engaging and sending the right message Reconciles and loads campaign spend as per TMS’s internal finance processes with 100% accuracy With support from Senior Executives, review and quality check all campaigns and optimising accounts to show continual improvement against campaign goals Providing our clients and internal performance team with live reporting dashboards in addition to presenting campaign learnings and actionable insights Owning and maintaining strong client, partner, and internal agency relationships across specified accounts Showing dedication to clients and building solid relationships with them. This means paying attention to every detail, looking for new ways to add value, and always delivering on promises Creating optimisation plans to improve campaign health and strategy Conducting daily pacing checks across campaigns to ensure there is no client overspend or underspend Staying up to date with search best practices and ensuring these are followed and implemented as required Assists with budget reconciliation, checks invoices, settles account queries Provides deep support for training, case studies and certifications for our agency REQUIREMENTS: 6-12 months experience in paid search Demonstrated understanding of the role of Paid Search as a channel, how it supports client objectives and the metrics used to measure success. Have a demonstrated experience in using search platforms (e.g.: Google Ads, Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads, SA360, and Google Analytics). Understands search account and campaign structure fundamentals. KEY ATTRIBUTES: Demonstrate an interest in Performance Media – search, social and programmatic, with a high-level understanding of the influence other media channels have on search. Completed Skillshop Certification in Google Ads Search Fundamentals (other Skillshop certifications desirable) Other digital media platform knowledge desirable e.g.: (Meta, TiKTok, DV360, Nexxen). SEO experience an advantage as well as experience with Google Ads Editor Motivated to deliver continuous improvement across all TMS clients – first in market opportunities, beta tests and measurement Have strong presentation skills – telling stories from the numbers Proficient in Microsoft Office products – particularly Excel Have strong attention to detail, this is a highly technical role Be self-disciplined, meeting agreed deadlines and being able to work independently Communicate effectively to manage expectations and elevate challenges to ensure they are dealt with quickly Follow process but also be able to suggest improvements to the existing process as we are always open to learning how to improve process Demonstrate initiative to help the broader team – from proactively helping the team set up for meetings to offering to help if a fellow team member is experiencing a heavy workload Demonstrate independent thinking and implementation skills Embody the values of themediastore: Integrity, People First, All In, Curious, Courageous
