This Lead Electrical Engineer, Analog/Mixed-Signal position will primarily be responsible for the development of analog & mixed-signal designs used in a Magnetic Resonance (MR) system. The successful candidate will join the Global MR Patient Handling HW group and interface with a global team to design, test, and implement analog, mixed-signal & digital designs as part of product quality and productivity improvements in the subsystems of patient audio/intercom and cooling control. The candidate will leverage knowledge of analog design techniques, modeling, and test verification methods to ensure a quality design.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
•Write detailed functional specifications that document newly created designs and support product introduction.
•Design, implement and troubleshoot various analog and digital hardware, specifically applied to audio component characterization and signal processing.
•Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to understand system interactions and
dependencies; account for these integration points within development plan.
•Provide technical support to team throughout product development and implementation process.
•Test and verify hardware to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analyzing test data.
•Model, build, test, and modify product prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed through simulation.
•Develop VHDL code to support FPGA-based designs; be proficient in simulating and debugging design.
•Design and develop analog and digital hardware with PID temperature control systems.
•Capture electrical design schematic using an ECAD system.
•Review and approve layout done on the ECAD system.
•Select hardware and materials, assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements. Work with technology suppliers and cross-functional staff to optimize hardware designs.
•Engaging in all phases of new product introduction: concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
•History of continuous development of core competencies in analog, digital and mixed-signal field. Update knowledge and skills in order to keep up with rapid advancements in technology.
•Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the MR product line.
Quality Specific Goals:
1.Aware of and comply with the Company Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
2.Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
3.Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
4.Ensure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before approving Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.
5.Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
1.Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2-5 years relative work experience in analog, digital, mixed-signal system design.
2.Demonstrated ability to design and debug bench level test setups (preferred debug and test capabilities using Raspberri Pi communication interface and Python scripts). Must be familiar with common electrical components.
3.Experience with typical electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, audio analyzers (desired).
4.Demonstrated circuit design and simulation tool experience (ie, PSpice or similar, TINA).
5.Demonstrated experience in VHDL designs and simulation tools (QuestaSim, Altera/Intel Synthesis Tools).
6.Working knowledge of project management processes and procedures.
7.Circuit design and simulation tool experience.
8.Schematic capture experience.
9.Working knowledge of PWA board bring-up and system integration experience.

7.Demonstrated experience in MATLAB or equivalent simulation/modeling tool
