Serves as a Senior Civil Engineer for airfield pavements within the Office of Airport Safety and Standards, Airport Engineering Division, AAS-100. The incumbent serves as the resource expert responsible for the application of civil engineering principles as they relate to the development of standards, specifications, criteria, and guidelines for airport pavement design, construction and techniques, quality control, maintenance, and management.

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (FV-I or FG/GS-13) that is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
