Our client is a leading global engineering, construction and services company. They support the energy, petrochemicals, government services and civil infrastructure sectors on 6 continents, servicing their customers through six diverse business units – Government and Infrastructure, Services, Upstream, Technology, Downstream and Ventures. They offer challenging assignments on some of the worlds largest and most complex projects and are currently seeking an Integrated Logistics Support Manager to be based at their UK Head Office in Surrey.


The following narrative shows the main tasks to be performed, but this role is capable of expansion so that the successful candidate will have exposure to many areas of our clients business, dependent upon business needs, candidate aptitude and career preference.


Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Director for the Government and Infrastructure Division, the successful candidate will implement the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) programme for a new project for which our client is the preferred bidder. This will involve working in our clients implementation team and working closely with the UK MOD’s Integrated Project Team and any of our clients sub-contractors to provide the ILS deliverables leading to the formal logistics demonstration .


In addition the successful candidate will provide ILS input into our clients bids. In particular; define data input requirements from suppliers in support of procurement; analyse and interpret data provided by suppliers to inform MTBF, MART and RCM calculations.


You will provide assistance in developing our clients in-house ILS competence and will provide assistance in setting up Contractor Logistics Support system in particular to demonstrate compliance with JSP 886 and formulate input to Support Solutions Envelope (SSE).

Job Requirements:

Knowledge and Skills:


Of graduate calibre you should have a thorough knowledge of ILS procedures and practices including all aspects of ILS work required to meet the details of Def Stan 00-60.


You will have relevant recent experience of working in, or to, the UK MoD on projects involving ILS, delivery of logistics projects using formal ILS procedures and previous experience in Def-Stan 00-60 activities.
You will have knowledge of the MoD supply system, ideally USAS, SS3, VITAL and the proposed EBS interface system.
You will be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office packages plus project planning tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) and basic database processes.


You should have experience of delivery of Contractor Logistic Support (JSP 886), experience in support to the bid/tender process as an author or as an evaluator/assessor.


You should have experience in wider logistics activities including 3rd and 4th Party logistics and a working knowledge of MOD’s Training, Training materials and documentation requirements, including TNA, training development and AESPs.


You should possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships easily, have a high degree of self motivation and professionalism, have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a matrix team.
