Mentoring Responsibilities:
The Personnel mentor is associated with the Ministry of Interior, Kabul, Afghanistan. The MoI is a highly visible and important governmental institution. Its responsibilities are nation-wide.
The mentor's responsibilities include coaching, advising and mentoring the senior leader of the Personnel Directorate in his daily duties and responsibilities as they are associated with the sub directorates of administration, finance, force management, and legal affairs.
The Personnel mentor's responsibilities include but are not limited to: Close coordination and assistance in the development and implementation of the MoI organizational strategy and associated business process re-organization activities to ensure directorate's alignment with the overall MoI strategy. Monitor activities throughout the directorate as they relate to its personnel activities, make recommendations for improvements, particularly in the area of implementing unified systems and controls. Also prepare training materials as needed.
The position is located in Kabul Afghanistan Working with the Afghan National Police (ANP) and Ministry of Interior (MOI). Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Possess a Bachelor Degree in business, accounting or related field from an accredited college or university. A Master's Degree, such as an MBA is desirable. Minimum ten years of experience with at least two in related financial, business process re-engineering and administrative related assignments, preferably in a developing country environment.
Possess demonstrated knowledge of the principles and methodologies of finance, personnel, and associated standardized business processes including project leadership. Possess the ability to assist, motivate and train counterparts in the development of standardized policies and programs within the Ministry of Interior. Possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently to achieve the desired end state. Possess strong Communication skills - written, verbal and listening skills. Possess issue resolution - strong analytical skills; and can handle complex situations. Possess strong leadership/influencing skills - makes decisions, self directed, self confident, positive, good negotiator, able to prioritize ! personal and team activities. Mentor must have computer skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
